Snowstorm topples tree onto power lines, sparking emergency response
A heavy snowfall caused a tree to collapse onto an overhead power line near Wolsdorf on State Road 641. The incident led to electrical arcing and prompted an emergency response from local fire crews early in the morning.
Fire brigades from Räbke, Warberg, and Wolsdorf were alerted at 8:08 a.m. A total of 17 volunteers from the South Fire Platoon arrived to handle the situation. They quickly secured the area, set up a safety perimeter, and contacted the responsible grid operator.
The fallen tree disrupted power lines but was resolved without major complications. The grid operator managed the electrical hazard, ensuring the scene was made safe. No injuries or additional incidents were reported following the response.
