Snowmen search party uncovers additional missing figures in Kamchatka region

In the rugged terrain of Kamchatka Krai, two snowmobilers went missing early this morning near Kozelsky Volcano. The news was reported by IA "Kam 24".

Sergei Lebedev, the Minister of Emergency Situations in Kamchatka Krai, had previously advised snowmobilers on safety equipment. He emphasized the importance of carrying essential accessories such as wrenches, an axe, a shovel, a primus stove, food, spare clothing, a compact tent, a satellite phone, skis, and a belt for the variator. He also recommended carrying spare fuel on these trips.

When the news of the missing snowmobilers broke, a joint team of rescuers, including the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM and KGCU "COD", along with a police officer, gathered at 6 am for the search. However, the delay in the rescue operation was due to running out of fuel.

Thankfully, volunteers with a satellite phone found the missing men and are escorting them back to the starting point. Sergei Lebedev expressed his gratitude towards the volunteers for their swift action.

In this case, professional rescuers' help was not needed, as the volunteers successfully managed the rescue operation. The rescue operation ended successfully, and the missing snowmobilers are on their way back home.

Sergei Lebedev, in his role as the Minister for Emergency Situations, has consistently emphasized the importance of safety and preparedness when venturing into the wilderness. His advice serves as a reminder to all snowmobilers to be well-equipped and prepared for any eventuality.
