Head's up, folks! Snow-lovers rejoice, as the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a blizzard of snow in our favorite ski spots!
Alpine skiers, lace up your boots, because the DWD anticipates 40 to 80 centimeters of fresh snow at the weekend's higher mountain altitudes. But wait, there's more! The same winter wonderland might even reach lower altitudes, including the Main, providing a magical winter vibe for all!
The Bavarian Forest and Upper Palatinate aren't being left out either. Expect to see 10 to 20 centimeters of snow falling from Friday onwards, creating a wintery paradise for sledging, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
As for the weather itself, get ready for a chill. Temperatures are dropping from a balmy eight to nine degrees on Friday, to a frosty two to four degrees on Saturday and Sunday. The DWD also forecasts a windy weekend, with gusts up to 100 kilometers per hour on the highest peaks and stormy gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour in the lowlands. But do not fret; by Sunday, the wind should have somewhat subsided.
The predicted snowfall might also grace the Main, making the lower altitudes feel like a winter wonderland. So, bundle up, and prepare for a frigid but unforgettable weekend across Germany!

The unspoiled nature of the Bavarian Forest, combined with its less crowded attraction, ensures an exciting getaway. Keep in mind that Germany's temperatures range from chilly to quite cold, with the northern region experiencing colder temperatures and more rain.
