Snow-clearing accident leaves Achim homes and schools without heat

A heating outage in Achim, Knyazhpogost District, left dozens of homes and public buildings without warmth earlier this week. The issue began after snow-clearing machinery damaged a key pipe, cutting off heat to residents and facilities. The problem started when a 219-mm section of the heating pipe ruptured under the weight of snow-clearing equipment. As a result, 17 residential buildings, a local school, and a kindergarten were left without heating. The incident disrupted heating for multiple households and public spaces in Achim. With repairs finished, residents and facilities have since returned to normal operation. The cause was confirmed as accidental damage from snow-clearing machinery.
