Sly Dogs Baseball Club Scores Permanent Playing Grounds in Jahn-Stadion
The 'Sly Dogs', a prominent baseball club in North Rhine-Westphalia with around 350 members, has received a significant boost. The SPD faction in the Marl city council, backed by the voter group 'Die Grünen Marl', has allocated the club permanent playing grounds in the Jahn-Stadion.
The decision, made in the last council session on September 27, 2025, focuses the use of the stadium area on sports and recreation. This move strengthens the position of the 'Sly Dogs' and provides them with a long-term perspective. The club can now plan with confidence for its training, games, and youth and junior activities. The Jahn Stadium will host various teams, including youth and senior dogs, as well as a U16 softball team for young girls and women.
The 'Sly Dogs' baseball club now has permanent playing grounds in the Jahn-Stadion, thanks to the city council's decision. This ensures planning security for the club's activities and strengthens its position in the region.
