Slide transforms into water attraction, featuring Bobbin.
In the heart of Sauerland, the Winterberg bobsled track undergoes a thrilling transformation every Thursday and Friday afternoon. From a high-speed winter track to a refreshing water slide, the "Pisten Monster" event offers an adrenaline-pumping experience for adventurous individuals.
The event, aimed at those seeking a unique challenge, invites participants over the age of 10 to zoom down a junior ski jump take-off ramp on large tires. For safety reasons, sturdy footwear and long clothing are mandatory, and a balaclava or multifunctional cloth under the helmet is required. Those who have their own integral helmet and corresponding protectors, such as from inline skating, are welcome to bring their equipment.
For those who need protective gear, helmets and protectors for hands, knees, or elbows can be borrowed. Children under 15 must start the event with supervision. Participants must meet a minimum height requirement of 1.30 meters to participate.
The water slide covers the women's sled start to the first big curve of the bobsled track, providing a fast 180-meter descent. At the endpoint, a catch basin awaits, similar to a real water slide.
Tickets for the water slide are available on site, with admission starting at 2 pm each day. It is recommended to bring swimwear or a change of clothes for the water slide experience.
