Sleeper Picks for the Irish Open of 2025: Disregard Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, and Tyrrell Hatton; These Less-Obvious Winners Could Make Waves at The K Club

The Irish Open is set to tee off at the K Club, with a star-studded lineup including Ryder Cup players such as Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, Brooks Koepka, and Patrick Reed.

Among the outright betting favourites for the tournament are Tom McKibbin, Kristoffer Reitan, and Marco Penge. However, there are several other contenders worth keeping an eye on.

One such contender is Martin Couvra, known for his accurate tee shots, strong approach play, and consistent putting. Despite missing three cuts in a row in his last three starts, Couvra has a runner-up finish and a T8th in recent tournaments.

Kristoffer Reitan, considered an outsider, could still secure a spot in the top 10. His recent excellent form, course suitability, and strong performance in windy conditions make him a potential dark horse.

Another potential sleeper pick is Andy Sullivan, who has four top-20s in the Irish Open, including a runner-up finish in 2019. Sullivan's ball-striking seems to be in a better place as far as strokes gained goes, and he has two top-10s and two top-20s over his past four starts.

Laurie Canter, who hasn't played since the British Masters, is another contender. Before that, he earned a T7th at the BMW International Open.

Meanwhile, Rasmus Hojgaard, the reigning champion, will not be participating in the Irish Open.

Oliver Lindell, who graduated from the HotelPlanner Tour last year, is playing good golf recently. He has positive strokes gained with his putting in each of his past seven starts.

The odds for these players to win and finish top-10 are provided by BetMGM. The bonus bet offer from BetMGM is $1500, paid back in bonus bets if you don't win, with additional terms and conditions.

On a separate note, the 2025 Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black later this month. Luke Donald's team will represent Europe in the prestigious event.

Remember, the bonus bets expire in 7 days. So, place your bets wisely!
