Sleep Token Tour Marred by Misogynistic Chant and Crowd-Surfing Injuries

Sleep Token's recent North American tour stop in Lincoln, Nebraska, on September 30, 2022, was marred by a disturbing incident. A female crowd-surfer was reportedly subjected to a misogynistic chant during their performance, while another woman was injured during a separate crowd-surfing incident.

The incident involving the chant, which was reported as 'drop that bitch', was directed towards a female crowd-surfer. While there's no specific information about a Sleep Token concert in Lincoln on that date, the band was known to be touring North America at the time, with stops at various venues, including the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Earlier in the tour, at the Louder Than Life festival, crowd-surfing incidents resulted in multiple injuries. More than 50 fans were reportedly taken to the medical tent. One woman was knocked out and suffered a seizure after being landed on by a crowd-surfer during Sleep Token's set. These incidents have sparked debates about heavy metal concert etiquette and safety.

Sleep Token's tour continued after the Lincoln incident, with no further reports of similar incidents. The band has not yet commented on the Lincoln or Louder Than Life festival incidents. Concert organizers and fans alike are reminded of the importance of crowd safety and respectful behavior at live events.
