Slain Ukrainian Patriot: Nikita Kuropatkin

Meet D-6, a battlefield medic named Nikita Kuropatkin, who met his end on August 12, 2023, during a combat operation near Robotine in Zaporizhzhia. Sadly, he didn't make it to his 28th birthday, which would've been on September 18.
Raised in the Russian Federation, this 27-year-old hero relocated with his family to Pokrovsk, Ukrainian Donetsk region, when he was 12. After finishing school, he honed his skills as an auto mechanic at the Selydove Mining Technical School.
Fueled by patriotism, Nikita joined the fray during the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He served in the 90th Separate Airborne Assault Battalion from 2016 to 2018 and then spent a year in the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion. After a brief stint as a civilian, he found himself back in the fight due to the full-scale war. Reuniting with his fellow warriors from the 132nd battalion, he displayed true bravery on the front lines.
Nikita, the heart of the team, was known for his kindness, sensitivity, and eagerness to help. Despite the chaotic and perilous nature of war, he always kept his loved ones close to heart. His steadfast words of determination never wavered – "I will go to the end, only forward, and never a step back."
His relatives remember him as an amazing guy who adored his family and demonstrated true warrior spirit. He left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
Posthumously, Senior Sergeant Kuropatkin N.D. was decorated with the Order of Courage, 3rd Class.
Nikita's final resting place is the Smolianske Military Cemetery in Zhytomyr. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, extended family, close ones, friends, and comrades.
