In a heart-wrenching turn of events, soldier Alexander Voloboy, famously known as Mariman, bite the dust on July 4, 2023, while bravely engaging in combat near the village of Hryhorivka in Donetsk Oblast. Exactly a month later, on August 4, this dedicated defender would have celebrated his 48th birthday.

Born and bread in the quaint village of Oleksandrivka, Kirovohrad Oblast, Alexander Vasyliovych spent his formative years at Onykiivka Vocational-Technical School No. 38. Afterward, he donned the hat of a tractor driver. Serving in the military from 1993 to 1995, he returned to civilian life and worked as a heater at the "Romashka" preschool institution located in the town of Mala Vyska, where he settled down. Fast forward to 2008, and he became an employee at the Novokostyantynivska Mine. Initially, he kept watch as a guard in the departmental security of the state-owned enterprise "Directorate." Fascinated by the intricacies of mining, he honed his skills and transitioned into the role of a miner. After completing education at the Kryvyi Rih Construction Lyceum, he proudly served as a shift electrician repairing equipment in the mine's vicinity from April 2009.

In a surprising twist of fate, Alexander enlisted in the Ukrainian Armed Forces on December 24, 2022. He served in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade as a driver-radio operator, participating in combat operations in both Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk Oblasts.

Reflecting on her beloved husband, Lyudmila, his mourning widow, shared her sentiments: "He was a man with a capital M, our very own defender, and Hero. I stand proud of my husband. He sacrificed everything for us, for you, for a free Ukraine, for peace, and tranquility. He gave his life, still having numerous dreams and unfulfilled plans."

Alexander was laid to rest at the central cemetery of the town of Mala Vyska, Kirovohrad Oblast. Behind, he left his dedicated mother, caring widow, and three resilient children who waited for him at home.

Alas, more personal details about this brave soldier, such as his place of birth, family background, or non-military life, remain undisclosed in the available sources.
