Skydiving aircraft collapses in Tennessee, according to authorities, with no documented loss of life.

A skydiving plane crash in Coffee County, Tennessee on June 8, 2025, left several individuals seeking medical attention. The calamity occurred approximately 60 miles south of Nashville, initially involving 20 or 21 passengers and crew aboard a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter operated by Skydive Tennessee. The aircraft, which departed Tullahoma Regional Airport around 12:30-12:45 p.m. CDT, encountered an issue shortly after takeoff, leading the plane to collide with trees during its return to the runway. As a result, the plane spun around and sustained significant damage, with photographic evidence depicting the fuselage's nose crushed and the tail separated.

Tullahoma's emergency services, including police and fire departments, promptly attended to the scene, treating some passengers for minor injuries while six individuals with serious injuries were transported to hospitals. Highway patrol footage shows the plane's tail damaged and parts of the aircraft scattered. Yellow caution tape has been set up to block off the crash site while investigators gather more information.

Investigations into the severity and causes of the crash are currently underway by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
