"Sizable Clan": Hogs for Hospice Makes a Roar in Leamington

Leamington played host to the annual Hogs for Hospice event, a three-day motorcycle rally that drew thousands of participants and spectators. The event, held at Seacliff Park, featured a packed schedule of activities including motocross shows, wrestling matches, biker rodeos, and a charity ride[1][2][3].

The highlight of the weekend was the concert on Saturday night, which featured Mitchell Tenpenny and Carly Pearce[4]. This concert was an additional event in the fundraising efforts for Erie Shores Hospice, the primary beneficiary of the Hogs for Hospice event.

Tricia Stevenson, a longtime volunteer, noted a good turnout for registration the night before the event[5]. She mentioned that her mom is very involved with hospice, highlighting the personal connection many have with the cause. Stevenson described the event as a "big family" helping other families in need.

The event has been successful in raising funds for Erie Shores Hospice, with more than $5 million raised so far[6][7][8]. Stevenson also noted that people realize the importance of hospice as they might need it for their own families someday. An extremely high number of pledges were received, more than was expected.

The charity ride, known as 'Tour the Tip', saw approximately 1,000 bikes lined up at Seacliff Park[9]. The event took participants around the region, allowing them to enjoy the scenic routes while contributing to a worthy cause.

The Hogs for Hospice event continues to grow in popularity and impact, providing essential support to Erie Shores Hospice and bringing together a community of motorcycle enthusiasts and supporters of hospice care.
