Previously, it was reported that the leadoff on the Ob river in the Tomsk region occurred on April 5, 2025. By May 2nd, the leader of the leadoff had left the Tomsk region and moved towards HMRO. As of May 5th, ten roads were reported to be affected by the flooding in Teghuldetsk, Krivosheinsk, and Chainsky districts. This year's second wave of floods in Tomsk began earlier than usual - in May - due to unseasonably warm weather.
"Six impassable road sections have been reported in four municipalities: Ishchan - Nikolskoe in Krivosheinsk district, Podgornoe - Ignashkino in Chainsky district, Teghuldet - Centropliigon, Teghuldet - Beregaevo (two flooded road sections) in Teghuldetsk district, and Kaataiga - the ferry crossing "Tunguska Boat" in Verkhneketsky district," said the spokesperson.
According to the press service of the regional branch of the Emergency Situations Ministry, water levels are expected to rise to dangerous levels in the Chaia river in the districts of the villages of Podgornoe and Teghuldet on May 13-16.
