Contenders vye for the throne in this competition - Six competitors are in a battle for the royal title
Get ready for the drama, folks! The grand finale of "Germany's Next Topmodel" (Thursdays, 8:15 PM, ProSieben and on joyn) is just around the corner. And these eight finalists are sweating it out in Los Angeles for a shot at conquering the runway. But alas, two unfortunate souls won't be making it to the finale because of their missteps along the way.
"We've Levelled Up"
The eight finalists can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment after making it to the semi-finals. They took a look back at their casting videos, reminiscing about the journey that led them to the finale. Daniela (20) had a change of heart, recognizing a whole new Dani in her casting tape - a confident and open-hearted model, unlike the Barbie she once was. Pierre (22) echoed her sentiments, "We've levelled up. No wonder we're in the semi-finals." And they all agree, they've grown leaps and bounds since their humble beginnings.
A Taste of Victory
This season's GNTM winner will grace the cover of the iconic magazine "Harper's Bazaar." And for the finalists, the cover shoot provided a sneak peek of what it feels like to claim the top spot. Each model displays their unique charm as they strut around a chic vintage car, exuding confidence and panache. Zoe, Magdalena, Pierre, and Jannik shine like the stars they are, leaving a lasting impression on the judges.
But it's not all smooth sailing for the rest. Canel (26) and Eliob (29) struggle to find their footing during the shoot. Canel takes longer than her competitors to nail the perfect pose, while Eliob seems to fall short—much like his performance on the runway earlier. Despite their setbacks, the contenders know it's the fine details that matter, and one misstep can lead to elimination.
Eliob's Fatal Shopping Blunder
The next challenge for the finalists is to shop for a day and evening outfit within two hours. Heidi Klum hands out $1,500 in cash to each contestant, and they must use their budget wisely for the fashion show ahead. However, Eliob (29), battling against time and his own inexperience in shopping, spends the entire budget on expensive clothing. To add insult to injury, American pricing taxes are only added at the cash register, and his bill surpasses the budget. In the end, Eliob is left with an empty shopping bag and a ticket home.
As the final walk-off takes place, the models showcase their best moves to secure a spot in the finale. Zoe shines in her bold leopard print ensemble, accompanied by a live orchestra playing dramatic tunes, while Canel struggles to make an impact. Meanwhile, Eliob, sans shoes and shirt, leaves the judges baffled, questioning his fashion choices for the finale.
Bye-Bye Canel and Eliob
Though this season showcases the strongest field of models yet, the judges have a tough time choosing the finalists. Moritz (19) and Daniela (20) are the first to secure their spot in the finale. The Vienna duo Magdalena and Pierre also impresses the judges, making it to the next round. The final decisions lie between Jannik, Eliob, Zoe, and Canel.
In the end, Canel's journey comes to an end just short of the finale, but she vows to continue showcasing herself to the world. Eliob's dreams are shattered when his shopping fiasco costs him a spot in the finale. And though he's disappointed, he shows class by leaving the competition with gratitude. Zoe and Jannik move on, ready to battle it out for the title of "Germany's Next Topmodel."
