Singer of 3 Doors Down Diagnosed with Advanced Stage Cancer, Forcing Tour Cancellation - Singer from 3 Doors Down Calls Off Upcoming Tour

Y'all better buckle up, because this ain't gonna be an easy ride. Our hometown heroes, 3 Doors Down, have hit a rough patch as their fearless leader, Brad "The Bulldog" Arnold, has been slapped with the nasty hand of cancer.

On May 7, 2025, in a heartfelt Instagram video message, good ol' Brad spilled the beans, confessing he's been dealin' with stage 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma—basically, a meanass kidney cancer that's crept its way into his lungs. Seems like he fell ill a few weeks back, and after some good ol' Southern hospitality at the doc's office, he got the bad news they all dread.

No fret now; Brad ain't losing hope. He's showin' 'em how it's done by sayin' he feels "no fear" about this setback. But ya gotta feel for the man –- he's gotta drop everything and focus on ridin' this storm out.

Naturally, this has caused ol' 3 Doors Down to cancel their much-anticipated summer tour here in the good ol' U.S. of A. The band is mighty sorry for lettin' their fans down, and they're askin' for our thoughts and prayers to help them through this tough time. Now, ain't that just sweet?

3 Doors Down

  • A Kickass Rock Band
  • Originated in the heart of Mississippi

Back in the mid-90s, Brad Arnold and some other talented mates founded our beloved 3 Doors Down in Mississippi's deep south. They broke onto the scene with their debut single "Kryptonite" (2018), which shot 'em right into international stardom.

In 2001, they received the American Music Award for "Best Freakin' New Artist" and really started making ripples in Germany with their hit "Here Without You." Other chart-toppers by the band include "When I'm Gone," "Let Me Go," and "It's Not My Time." Ain't that something, y'all?

  • "Despite the heroic efforts of Brad 'The Bulldog' Arnold, the lead vocalist of the rock band 3 Doors Down, who was diagnosed with stage 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma, the band's much-anticipated summer tour in the U.S.A has been cancelled due to his illness."
  • "Arnold, hailing from Mississippi, originally founded 3 Doors Down with other musicians in the mid-90s, the band that later gained international fame and even won the American Music Award in 2001."
  • "Arnold's diagnosis has drawn the attention of the entertainment industry and celebrities alike, with many offering their thoughts and prayers in support of the band and their frontman."
  • "While some may argue that the cancellation of the summer tour is a blow to music lovers in the U.S.A, the focus has shifted to supporting Arnold in his battle against cancer."
