Singer D4vd's vehicle impounded, containing remains of a teenage girl

In a shocking turn of events, a 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas was found deceased inside a Tesla vehicle, owned by the pop star D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke), at a tow lot in Hollywood. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the discovery on September 8.

The vehicle, registered to the 20-year-old singer, was collected by a towing company in September 2024 following a foul odour reported at the lot. Upon investigation, the body of Celeste Rivas was found severely decomposed inside the car.

Authorities have not determined the cause of Celeste Rivas' death, nor have they implicated D4vd in any wrongdoing. It remains unclear why the Tesla was impounded.

D4vd, a Houston-born singer-songwriter, rose to prominence in 2022 with the hit "Romantic Homicide," which went viral on TikTok and peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. He followed this success with "Here With Me" and released his first full-length album, "Withered," in April.

The singer has signed with Darkroom and Interscope, the record labels of Billie Eilish, and has released two EPs, "Petals to Thorns" and "The Lost Petals," in 2023.

An unnamed representative for D4vd stated that the singer has been cooperating with authorities since the body was found.

Celeste Rivas was last seen in April 2024 in Lake Elsinore, which is approximately 60 miles (95 kilometers) southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
