In a surprising turn of events, singer D4vd, known for his indie, R&B, and alt-pop sound, has cancelled the remaining dates of his tour. The cancellations come after a Los Angeles home where D4vd had been living was searched in connection with the death of a 15-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas.

The Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division is leading the investigation into Rivas' death. The vehicle in which her body was found last week is registered to David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, according to a senior LAPD source. However, the cause of Rivas' death is still undetermined, and the case is not currently classified as a homicide investigation.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office has identified the female body discovered in the trunk of a towed Tesla registered to D4vd as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas from Lake Elsinore. The circumstances surrounding Rivas' death and her presence in the front trunk are unclear at this time.

D4vd, who has 3.8 million followers on TikTok, released his debut album in April and has been on tour since August. The San Francisco show scheduled for Friday night and the Los Angeles' Greek Theatre show scheduled for Saturday have been cancelled. Additionally, the tour's stop in Seattle on Wednesday was also cancelled. The European leg of his tour, which was scheduled to begin on Oct. 1, appears to have been cancelled as well.

No comment has been received from D4vd's representative or lawyer regarding the investigation. The name of D4vd's lawyer, who is currently under police investigation for Rivas' death, is not publicly disclosed in the available information. The investigation is ongoing, and D4vd’s representatives stated that he is fully cooperating, but his lawyer has not responded to inquiries.

According to an LAPD source, many of the vehicles owned by D4vd are used by different people at different times. The vehicle registered to D4vd is one of several vehicles owned by him that are frequently used by different people.

ABC News reached out to D4vd's representative and lawyer for comment but did not receive a response. This report was contributed to by ABC News. The investigation into Rivas' death continues.
