Proactive Pakistan Stands Firm on Nuclear Peace
In a recent interview, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah underscored Pakistan's stance as a peaceful nuclear power, promising to uphold its commitment to global and regional peace. On a private TV channel, CM Murad paid tribute to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, crediting him for making Pakistan a nuclear-capable nation.
The political leader critiqued Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making baseless and false allegations against Pakistan regarding the recent Pahalgam incident. Regarding the incident, he asserted that Pakistan had extended an offer for a transparent investigation, and now India had succumbed to its own trap.
"India has run out of options and has failed to find a face-saving exit," stated the CM. He also praised Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, particularly Deputy Prime Minister's effective presentation of Pakistan's stance to the international community and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's steady response to India's provocations.
Murad Strongly Condemns Pahalgam Incident
In the contentious Pahalgam incident, five armed militants killed 26 people, primarily Indian tourists, in Indian-administered Kashmir's Baisaran Valley. The attack raised concerns due to the early reopening of the valley without adequate security precautions.
In the aftermath of the incident, Pakistan offered a transparent investigation, but India appeared to have compromised its offer by indulging in propaganda and brinkmanship.
"After the Pahalgam drama, it's clear that India is out of options. Its propaganda has collapsed," deliberated the CM.
Pakistan Calls for Cross-Border Solidarity
Commenting on the Indus Waters Treaty, Murad emphasised that India could not unilaterally suspend the agreement. He issued a stern warning, stating that any attempt by India to cut off Pakistan's water would be considered an act of war.
He also commended Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's efforts in resolving inter-provincial water disputes, highlighting that the problems have now been resolved due to Bilawal's determined endeavours.
Asserting Pakistan's position, the Chief Minister said, "We are a peace-loving nation, but we also know how to defend our homeland. The Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces. Whenever the country has faced a crisis, the people have always stood firm."
The chief minister also announced a session of the National Assembly scheduled for tomorrow, where all political parties are expected to demonstrate national unity. As the crisis continues, Pakistan remains steadfast in its pursuit of peace while making it clear that it will not back down from defending its homeland.
