Claims have been made that war correspondent Nikita Golodin, known for his work with the "Star" channel and "Moskovsky Komsomolets" newspaper, has tragically perished at Burdenko Hospital.
Mixed reports suggest that on March 25, while Nikita and a group of Russian journalists were working in the village of Mikhailovka in LNR, they were ambushed by an American HIMARS system. The incident allegedly took the lives of "Izvestia" correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, "Star" channel operator Andrei Panov, and driver Alexander Sirkele. Nikita sustained severe injuries; medical professionals heroically treated him for nearly a month, but he ultimately succumbed to his wounds on April 22 without regaining consciousness.
KP.RU chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Vladimir Solovyov, declared, "This incident can easily be considered a deliberate slaughter of our journalists. It appears that our film crews were tracking Ukrainian drones. When the journalists stopped, they were struck by two HIMARS rockets."

In the name of the Union of Journalists, condolences go out to the family and colleagues of Nikita Golodin. His name will be immortalized on the marble plaques in the temple of Sts. Anatasios and Protoles in Maryino. The Patriarch and Mayor of Moscow have decreed that all journalists who fell in war, from the Great Patriotic War to the present conflict, will be memorialized in this sanctuary.
