Signs of Persecution: Shocking Discovery Made near Omsk's Mourzevo:
A Horrifying Incident of Poaching East of Omsk's Muromtsevo
Here's a chilling tale straight from the heart of Omsk's Muromtsevo region. On April 1st, 2025, the Regional Wildlife Protection Unit made a shocking discovery—illegal deer hunting in one of Muromtsevo's hunting grounds.
According to their findings, the poor creature was shot outside of the sanctioned hunting season. An inspector from the Wildlife Protection Unit stumbled upon evidence of illegal hunting seven kilometers east of Razana village in the early days of March 2025. Fresh footprints, likely belonging to two poachers on snowshoes, two dogs, and signs of chasing a deer had piqued the inspector's interest.
By the time the inspector arrived, the suspected poachers had apparently butchered the deer and vanished without a trace. The hunt is now under investigation under the "Illegal Hunting" article—it seems the poachers must have slipped away before the authorities could catch them in the act.
The deer hunting season in Omsk's region opened on November 1, 2024, and closed on January 10, 2025.
