In a surprising revelation, Bella and Gigi Hadid have publicly confirmed that they have a younger half-sister named Aydan Nix. The sisters made the announcement on their respective social media platforms.
Years ago, their father, who was an only child at the time, had a brief relationship that resulted in a pregnancy. This occurred around the same time that Gigi and Bella were born to their parents, Yolanda and Mohamed Hadid, in 1995 and 1996, respectively. The couple officially divorced in 2000, and a few years later, Aydan, now 23 years old, was born to Mohamed and another woman.
Aydan was raised in Florida, having a close relationship with the man she referred to as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19 years old. After his death, she decided to take a genetic test out of curiosity, which led her to discover a biological connection to the Hadid family.
It wasn't until late 2023 that the Hadid family reunited with Aydan. Since then, they have welcomed her as part of their larger family. "We've cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family," the Hadid sisters stated in a joint announcement.
The family values Aydan's privacy and has asked others to respect her desire to remain anonymous. Aydan has recently completed her studies at Parsons School of Design in New York and has been modeling, following in the footsteps of her older half-sisters.
Bella and Gigi Hadid have two other half-sisters, Marielle and Alana Hadid, who are the result of Mohamed Hadid's previous union with Mary Butler.
