Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan Recovers After Stabbing Incident
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is on the road to recovery following a stabbing incident at his Bandra home on January 16, 2025. Khan was attacked by an intruder during a robbery attempt, sustaining six stab wounds, two of which were dangerously close to his spine.
The incident occurred around 2:15 am when the burglar initially attacked Khan's house help in the room of his younger son, Jeh. Khan rushed to protect the help and fought off the attacker with his bare hands, resulting in the stabbing injuries.
Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery to remove a piece of the knife lodged near his spine. He was discharged after five days.
The accused, Shariful Islam, a Bangladeshi national, was arrested two days after the attack. He has since filed a bail plea claiming the case against him is false. However, the prosecution opposes the bail, citing strong forensic evidence, including knife fragments matching the weapon recovered from the accused, fingerprints at the crime scene, and CCTV footage establishing his presence. The prosecution also fears that if released, Islam may flee India or tamper with witnesses.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan's sister, Saba Ali Khan, expressed her love and concern for her brother in an Instagram post.
