Awesome News! Metal band SHVRIKEN rocks the scene with their fresh single "Black Sand," released on April 25, 2025, across all major streaming platforms globally. The track voices the talented Stephen Tan from The Rising Tide, adding a compelling twist to this hard-hitting tune!

Channeling the psychotic vibe from Ninja Assassin's "black sand" scene, the new single signifies SHVRIKEN's entry into an exhilarating phase, leading up to their epic debut album. The band boasts that "Black Sand" is one of their most distinct tracks to date, maintaining their signature heavy metal rhythms and aggressive growls while experimenting with cleaner vocal harmonies courtesy of Stephen Tan.

Why did they choose Stephen? Easy! With his impressive vocal prowess demonstrated in The Rising Tide and The Vast, he was the obvious pick to lead a tune like "Black Sand." The man surpassed all expectations and steals the show on this track!

To ensure top-notch production, SHVRIKEN recruited Adam Bentley – a renowned producer who has lent his magic touch to big names like Arch Echo, Plini, and Monuments' Andy Cizek. As expected, working with Bentley was a smooth ride for the band; he knew what they needed and blew them away with his masterful mix.

As if that wasn't enough, "Black Sand" is SHVRIKEN's first release of 2025, following a record-breaking year in 2024 when they took the international stage by storm at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany, representing the Philippines in the prestigious Wacken Metal Battle, and slamming out a single titled "Oni."
