New Escort Optima Shotguns Now Available: Affordable Quality from Hatsan USA
Hatsan USA has expanded its product line with the introduction of the Escort Optima shotguns, offering a range of options for shooters at an affordable price point.
The Escort Optima shotgun product line includes semi-auto, pump, and over-under models, all retailing under $500. The new shotguns are available in three gauges: 12 gauge, 20 gauge, and 28 gauge.
The 12-ga. and 20-ga. Escort Optima shotgun models come with 3" chambers and 28" barrels, while the 28-ga. models feature a 2 3/4" chamber and 26" barrels. All models are stocked in checkered Turkish walnut and have a rubber recoil pad for comfort.
The barrels of the Escort Optima shotguns boast a 7x7 mm ventilated rib and a fiber-optic front sight, ensuring accurate aiming. The receivers of the shotguns are made of aluminum and have a silver and black engraved finish.
The weights of the Escort Optima shotguns vary by gauge: 12-ga. steel - 7.3 lbs., 12-ga. aluminum - 6.2 lbs., 20-ga. - 5.7 lbs., and 28-ga. - 5.5 lbs. The overall length of 12- and 20-ga. Escort Optima shotguns is 44.9", and 42.9" for 28-ga. models.
All Escort Optima shotgun models feature single-selective triggers, a sliding tang safety, extractors, and Hatsan's "Easy Adjust" action system for easy maintenance. The 12-ga. model of the Escort Optima shotgun is also available with a steel receiver and ejectors.
The retail prices for the Escort Optima shotguns are as follows: $479.99 for the 12-ga. aluminum model, $449.99 for the 20-ga. and 28-ga. models, and $499.99 for the 12-ga. steel model.
The newly updated Escort Optima over-under shotgun is now available for purchase on the company's website. The first person to purchase the new Escort Optima Over-Under scabbards from Hatsan USA after their announcement at the SHOT Show in January 2025 was, interestingly, Hatsan USA themselves.
