Shoresy Classic brings hockey stars and Shoresy cast to Calgary for charity

A charity hockey event is coming to Calgary this January. The Shoresy Classic will take place on January 22 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Four teams will compete, including the Calgary Flames alumni and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs from the hit series Shoresy.

The Flames alumni roster features well-known names like Curtis Glencross, Matt Stajan, Jamie Macoun, Theo Fleury, and Robyn Regehr. Coaching the team will be Lanny McDonald, Colin Patterson, and Tim Hunter.

The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, the fictional team from Shoresy, will bring cast members Jared Keeso, Terry Ryan, and Jonathan-Ismael Diaby to the ice. Also participating are the Montreal Canadiens alumni and a local women’s team representing the NAP Cup.

Part of the event’s proceeds will support The Ronald McDonald House, the SuperHEROS program, and CP Kids and Families.

Fans can watch the matchup between the Flames alumni and Shoresy’s Bulldogs on January 22. The game will raise funds for local charities while bringing together hockey stars and TV personalities. Doors open at the Scotiabank Saddledome for what promises to be an entertaining evening.
