Streator Deputy Chief Robert Wood of 103.9 WLPO has shared that their department, alongside other assisting agencies, continue to chase down leads related to the shooting that transpired on Sunday. Robert reveals that the two other victims from the shooting have been discharged from the hospitals they were taken to.
According to Robert, a 17-year-old who was with the two survivors was pronounced deceased after Streator Police received word of potential gunshots at the intersection of Main Street and Sterling Street. Investigators have reported that multiple rounds were fired and two vehicles were involved in the incident.
As of now, no names have been disclosed, including that of the 17-year-old who perished in the hail of bullets.
