Daughter Thought She Was Employed in Clinic - Shonda Rhimes' Daughters: From Mortification to New Viewers

Shonda Rhimes, creator of the popular medical drama 'Greys Anatomy', has a unique relationship with her daughters when it comes to the show. Her youngest daughters, aged 8 and 9, are too young to watch or be interested in the series, while her eldest daughter has a surprising perspective on it.

Rhimes' eldest daughter, Harper, whom she adopted in 2002, the same year 'Greys Anatomy' premiered, initially believed her mother worked in a hospital due to the extensive time spent on the show's set. Despite being the daughter of the show's creator, Harper has no interest in watching 'Greys Anatomy' and finds it mortifying that her friends have seen it.

One of Rhimes' younger daughters, however, started watching the series in 2022, marking a shift in the family's dynamic with the show. This change comes after Rhimes adopted her daughter Emerson in 2012 and her daughter Beckett via surrogacy in 2013, expanding her family and their varied perspectives on her work.

Shonda Rhimes' daughters, ranging in age from 8 to 20, have diverse views on 'Greys Anatomy', with her youngest being too young to watch and her eldest finding it mortifying. As her daughters grow older, their relationship with the show continues to evolve, providing a unique perspective on the impact of a creator's work on their family.
