"Sheridan welcomes back Saluting Branches" or "Branch Salute revisits Sheridan"

Sheridan Councilmember Bev Leichtnam has announced that the annual Saluting Branches event, powered by Eventbrite, will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 23. However, this year's event will not be held at the Municipal Cemetery, which has been the location for more than 2,300 veterans' final resting place.

Leichtnam, who is inviting the community to participate in the nationwide event, did not specify the tasks that will be performed during this year's Sheridan Saluting Branches event. Last year, she participated in the event and performed landscape care tasks, specifically raking compost.

The mission of Saluting Branches, a national organisation, is to honour U.S. veterans by organising volunteer tree and landscape care. The nationwide event will take place on property dedicated to veterans.

The location for the Sept. 23 event has not been specified by Leichtnam. Volunteers who wish to participate can register online, and the link to do so can be found in the provided text.

It's worth noting that the national day of service is Sept. 17, but the Sheridan event is scheduled for a different date. Last year, the Sheridan Saluting Branches event was completed at the Municipal Cemetery.

Leichtnam, who is known for her landscape care tasks, has also announced that she will be performing at the event. She encourages everyone to join her in honouring our veterans and making a difference in their community.
