Sheridan High School Tennis Matches Summary: September 13, 2025
Sheridan and Thunder Basin tennis teams have been making waves in the 2025 Wyoming High School Regional Tennis Championships, held in Cody and Powell from September 19th to 20th.
In a thrilling match, the Sheridan Boys team emerged victorious against Campbell County with a score of 4-1. The doubles pair of Aaron Lansing and Lawson Woodrow clinched the #2 Doubles match for Sheridan, while Matt Brown and Eric Venn secured the #1 Doubles match. Ella Bilyeu won the #1 Singles match, and Ellie Garcia lost a close contest in the #1 Singles match. Gracie Hogan and Brittney Giessler won the #2 Doubles match, and Larissa Hoffman secured the #2 Singles match for Sheridan. However, Drew Miller suffered a defeat in the #2 Singles match against Parkar Gulley from Thunder Basin.
In another closely contested match, Thunder Basin Girls team outshone Sheridan with a score of 5-0. Emile Reede won the #2 Singles match, and the #1 Doubles match was won by Garrett Moore and Jackson Moore. Kendall Mills from Campbell County was defeated by Ella Bilyeu, but Emmitt Kindsvogel and Ty Ruff managed to win the #1 Doubles match for Campbell County. The #1 Doubles match between Liv Katschke and Eva Gorsuch from Thunder Basin and Avery Ligocki and Abby Venn from Sheridan ended in a win for Thunder Basin. Mallorie Akers and Lizzy Lansing won the #3 Doubles match for Sheridan, while Sam Wilcock and Christian Laman won the #3 Doubles match for Sheridan as well as against Campbell County's Carlos Enriquez and Tayten Walker.
Ben Bujans from Sheridan won the #1 Singles match against Jaxon Richert from Campbell County, and Emile Reede won the #2 Singles match against Larissa Hoffman.
The Sheridan Boys and Girls Tennis teams will continue their journey in the regional championships, aiming to bring home the trophy. The tense and exciting matches between these teams promise an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
