Sheridan College's Men's Rodeo Team Takes 2nd at Pat Hamilton Rodeo

The 2025 Pat Hamilton Rodeo featured standout performances from local college basketball teams and athletes. Sheridan College's Men's Basketball Team secured 2nd place, while several individuals made notable rankings in various events.

In the Saddle Bronc riding, Christopher Nelson had a remarkable run. He tied for 1st and 2nd place at the rodeo and currently stands 2nd in the regional standings. Jake Schlattmann, also from Sheridan, placed 3rd in the Saddle Bronc riding average and leads the regional rankings. The duo's performance has put Sheridan on the basketball map.

Rylee Price, another local talent, had a strong showing in multiple events. She placed 4th in Breakaway Roping and Goat Tying, and currently ranks 4th in the women's all-around category. Allie Huskey also made her mark, placing 4th in Barrel Racing.

The team event saw Tyon Arneson and Emmett Sortum tied for 1st and 2nd place in the regional standings for Team Roping. Talon Arcoren contributed to the team's success with a 3rd place finish in Bareback riding average.

Sheridan College's Men's Basketball Team's 2nd place finish at the Pat Hamilton Rodeo is a testament to their skill and dedication. The team's success is also a reflection of the coaching talent in the region, with Danielle Torpey leading the Sheridan High School volleyball team.
