Sharon Watts Makes Her Return to EastEnders
In the latest episodes of EastEnders, the long-awaited return of Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) has sent waves through Albert Square. Sharon makes her grand entrance on BBC One at 7:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
Sharon's return is not without its complications. She has been staying with her long-time friend, Michelle Fowler, in Australia, but her homecoming is bittersweet. Sharon's last appearance on EastEnders was following the funeral of Martin Fowler, and she's still harbouring resentment towards another familiar face – Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).
Sharon is shocked to see Zoe upon her return to Walford. The two have a complex history, with Sharon still blaming Zoe for her part in causing the death of her father Den. Zoe, a headstrong, impulsive, and defiant character from the Slater family, returned to EastEnders after years away. She brings with her a drama-filled identity crisis and a difficult personal history, which has caused tension with her mother Kat and other characters in Walford.
Meanwhile, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) moves into No.25, causing further tension between her son Peter (Thomas Law) and his fiancee, Lauren Branning (Jaqueline Jossa). Peter and Lauren's relationship has already been tested, but Cindy's arrival threatens to push them to their breaking point.
Elsewhere in the Square, Demi (Lucy Edington-Brown) befriends Peter at baby Jimmy's sensory class and seems to fancy him. Will this new friendship lead to romance, or will it cause more trouble for Peter and Lauren?
