Sharon Osbourne, the former judge on "America's Got Talent" and wife of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, has been candid about her experiences with cosmetic surgeries. Over the years, she's undergone procedures such as facelifts, Botox, lip fillers, leg lifts, and tummy tucks after a gastric band operation. In 2013, she mused in her autobiography, "Every time you submit to vanity surgery, you chip away at your self-worth a little more."

Despite her career in the entertainment industry, Osbourne has struggled with self-perception, often looking at her reflection and seeing her true self, far from the glamorous image the public sees. This struggle came to a head in 2021 when she underwent another facial surgery, which she now views as "the worst thing I've ever had to do."

"I looked like a cyclops. One of my eyes was crooked here, another one was crooked there, and then I had to wait for it to heal before I could go back and correct it," she told The Times of London. "I did it out of vanity. Oh, you look great for your age. But I know what I really look like. When I look in the mirror, I see my true self."

In 2021, Osbourne also began using Ozempic, a diabetes medication used off-label for weight loss. She lost 42 pounds, but the rapid weight loss led to concerns about her appearance, particularly the "Ozempic face" phenomenon characterized by sagging skin and a gaunt appearance. After a year of dieting, Osbourne has admitted that she can't regain the weight, but she's also learned to be cautious about her desires.

Ozempic and its sister medication Wegovy work by mimicking a hormone produced naturally by the body to slow down food passage through the stomach, promoting feelings of fullness. In a previous interview with Piers Morgan, Osbourne spoke about feeling ill for weeks after starting the medication and consistently feeling thirsty but not hungry. She admitted that lack of appetite was likely the reason for her continued warnings about young people using these drugs, fearing they might become unhealthily obsessed.

Insights on Cosmetic Surgeries

Sharon Osbourne's journey with cosmetic surgeries has been a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences. From her early years focusing on enhancing her appearance with facelifts, to feelings of regret and disappointment after each surgery, and ultimately, finding self-acceptance and prioritizing mental well-being, Osbourne's perspective on beauty and self-worth has evolved significantly.

Her dramatic transformation through Ozempic use is just as intriguing. While the medication aided in her weight loss journey, the rapid and extensive changes in her appearance sparked concerns and led to a deeper understanding of body image and self-acceptance.
