Sharks host free Olympic watch parties for 2026 Winter Games fans

The San Jose Sharks are bringing Olympic excitement to the Bay Area with a series of free watch parties for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games. Four Sharks players will also compete in men's ice hockey, representing their home countries on the world stage.

The first event takes place on February 6 at THE LOT City Center in San Ramon. NBC Bay Area's Chris Chmura will host, with Olympic gold medallist Kristi Yamaguchi making a special appearance.

On February 13, two locations—Calder's Sports Bar in San Jose and THE LOT City Center—will screen the Canada vs. Switzerland men's ice hockey match. Fans can cheer on Sharks forwards Macklin Celebrini (Canada), Philipp Kurashev (Switzerland), Alexander Wennberg (Sweden), and Pavol Regenda (Slovakia) as they compete for their nations.

A third watch party is scheduled for February 19 at the Oakland Ice Center. This event will feature Alysa Liu, a local figure skater who trained there, as she performs in the women's competition. Attendees can also try a curling workshop during the festivities.

All watch parties are free, include live Olympic broadcasts, and feature appearances by the Sharks' mascot, S.J. Sharkie.

The Sharks' events offer fans a chance to support their team's Olympians while enjoying live action. With hockey, figure skating, and curling on the programme, the Bay Area will have multiple opportunities to celebrate the Winter Olympics.
