In the bustling city of Tijuana, Shakira caused a stir with her emotional performance during her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. The Colombian pop icon's first stop on her Mexican tour was at the Estadio Caliente, and her Tijuana fans received a pleasant surprise with the performance of "January Day," a song Shakira composed for her ex, Antonio de la Rúa, nearly two decades ago.

Shakira's concert in Tijuana followed the repertoire of her world tour, which has been notable for its blend of Shakira's signature sound with local cultural elements, making each performance unique. The tour has been a huge success, both financially and culturally, reflecting Shakira's influence on Latin music and her ability to connect with diverse audiences.

During her Tijuana concert, Shakira also dedicated songs like "Suerte," "Sale el Sol," and "Lo que más" to Antonio de la Rúa. However, it's worth noting that Shakira only sang the English versions of "Te aviso, te anuncio," "Suerte," "Waka waka," and "Loba" in the official recordings of her concerts in Mexico City.

In an unexpected twist, Shakira prepared "January Day" specifically for the Tijuana concert, marking the first time the song has been performed in 18 years. Unfortunately, Pitbull, who was originally scheduled to open Shakira's concert in Tijuana, had to cancel his performance.

Shakira's Mexican tour consists of 17 concerts, with her last concert in Mexico City scheduled for August 26 at the Estadio GNP Seguros. After Mexico City, she will travel to Querétaro, Guadalajara, and Puebla. Shakira's children, Milan and Sasha, are accompanying her during her stay in Mexico.

Throughout her tour, Shakira has expressed gratitude to her fans for always being there, no matter what happens. As she continues her journey across Mexico, fans can look forward to more exciting performances and potential surprises. Shakira's last concert in Mexico will be on September 18 in the capital, and on September 24, she will bid farewell to Mexico at the Estadio Luis "Pirata" Fuente in Veracruz.
