The injury Khan sustained was minor, and he is recovering well after traveling to the US for medical consultation and then relocating to the UK to recuperate with his family. He has been advised a full month of rest, which has led to a delay in the film's production, pushing the next phase of shooting to September and October 2025.

The injury temporarily halted filming, including a postponed planned trip to Sri Lanka for shooting. Despite the setback, there is no cause for serious concern reported, and Khan is expected to return to work after his recovery period.

Jawan, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, is an action thriller directed by Atlee. The film features a high-profile cast and marks the big-screen debut of his daughter Suhana Khan, sustaining considerable anticipation among fans even with the production delay.

The romantic track Chaleya from Jawan, sung by Shilpa Rao and Arijit Singh, won the second National Award for Best Female Playback Singer. The 71st National Awards full list of winners includes Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey for their performances in Jawan and 12th Fail respectively.
