Shah Alam hit by flash floods as roads close and rescues begin

Heavy rain has caused flash floods across Shah Alam, leading to road closures and transport delays. The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has deployed its emergency response team, PANTAS, to assist affected residents. Floodwaters have made several roads impassable, including Jalan Batu Tiga Lama towards Taman Mesra (Section U1) and Shah Alam town centre. Jalan Kampung Kubu Gajah 5 is also blocked due to high water levels. Authorities have closed these routes to prevent accidents. Authorities are urging the public to stay alert, follow evacuation orders, and use alternative routes where possible. The situation remains under close monitoring as emergency teams work to manage the flooding.
