Shaboo, that's what Shabana Azmi's friends call her, took a heartwarming trip down memory lane on Saturday, commemorating the 23rd anniversary of her Pop - the legendary Indian Urdu poet Kaifi Azmi's passing.

Paying an emotional tribute on Instagram, she shared a nostalgic black-and-white photo with her father, captioning it with "Abba... 23 years since you left, but you live on in every fiber of my being."

Born Sayyid Athar Hussein Rizvi, May 10, 1902, in Uttar Pradesh, young Kaifi penned his first poem at the tender age of 11. As he grew older, he became one of India's most revered poets and a fascinating figure in Hindi cinema[1][2][3]. This impressive individual passed away on May 10, 2002.

Meanwhile, Shaboo, who's recently graced our screens in the crime drama Dabba Cartel, shared the limelight with Jyotika, Nimisha Sajayan, and Shalini Pandey, among others. 'Dabba Cartel,'created by Shibani Akhtar, Vishnu Menon, Gaurav Kapur, and Akanksha Seda, follows the lives of five middle-class women in Thane who operate a tiffin service. The series takes a dramatic twist when they unwittingly get tangled up in a drug operation.
