While the Nations League match between Germany and Portugal is set to kick off tonight in Munich, dangerous weather conditions threaten the city! Hatched plans for heavy thunderstorms with hail, gusts, and heavy rain are brewing in Bavaria, with the storm starting as early as the afternoon and peaking between 7 to 9 PM local time. Uefa, in collaboration with authorities, is monitoring the weather situation closely.

Spectators attending the Allianz Arena are advised to bring rain ponchos or jackets, as the weather may take a turn for the worse during the match.

Alarmingly, hailstones as large as 5 cm in diameter are possible, although experts suggest the heavy weather might pass north of Munich, offering some hope for soccer fans. To make matters worse, the German Weather Service (DWD) has also issued a warning for thunderstorms in Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Hesse, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, and Berlin, with gusts up to 85 km/h, heavy rain up to 25 l/qm in a short period, and small hail.
