Severe weather alert declared for fog in UAE; Temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi expected to reach 40°C
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued red and yellow alerts for certain areas, particularly along the coast, due to the expected humid conditions by night and Saturday morning.
According to the NCM, the skies will be partly cloudy at times, with cloudiness moving eastward and northward. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate at times in the Oman Sea. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds are expected, with speeds ranging from 10-25 kmph and reaching 35 kmph.
The weather in the UAE on September 19 is expected to be fair to partly cloudy. The temperature in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will range between 30°C and 40°C. In Sharjah, the temperature will rise to 39°C, with the lowest temperature being 30°C.
The NCM has released a map showing the areas covered by the red and yellow alerts. However, it's important to note that this map is not related to the sea conditions or temperatures mentioned in this report.
Dr. Marwan Al-Sorour, the UAE Meteorological Authority, led the issuance of these warnings on Friday, September 19. It's worth mentioning that no rain is expected in the UAE on Friday, and no new alerts for fog or other weather conditions have been issued by the NCM for the early morning hours.
The highest temperature recorded over the country on Thursday was 45.5°C in Mezaira (Al Dhafra region) at 3.15pm. The NCM did not provide any information about KT WhatsApp Channels in the text.
