Severe traffic congestion is prevalent in the Rose Garden area
On August 25, the annual Rosengarten Run, a family-friendly running event through forest and heath, is set to take place in the Rosengarten Regional Park. The event, organised by the Hausbruch-Neugrabener Turnerschaft (HNT), will consist of 13 running and walking competitions.
In preparation for the event, several streets and parking lots in the communities of Rosengarten, Alvesen, and Neu Wulmstorf will be affected by traffic restrictions. Here's what you need to know:
In Rosengarten, the parking lots "Diebeskuhlen" and "Großmodder Eiche" will have restrictions during the same period. The streets "Am Rosengarten" and "Am Broocken" will be closed from 8 am to 12:30 pm. Residents are asked to move their vehicles out of the area before the closures begin.
In Alvesen, Steinkuhle, part of the Heinrich-Wendt-Weg, Rüderstieg, and the Alvesener Heuweg will be closed to through traffic from 8 am to around 12:30 pm. This will result in significant traffic disruptions in Alvesen, with several streets closed. Residents are asked to avoid the affected streets during the closures.
In Neu Wulmstorf, the passage restriction on the street to the Tempelberg allows traffic to or from the Tempelberg as needed and depending on the situation on the running route. The street "Alter Postweg" will be closed between the connecting path to the Oheweg and "Vor dem Kirchenholz" from around 10 am to 1 pm.
For those planning to participate in the Rosengarten Run or navigate through the area on August 25, it's advisable to check for updates a few days before the event. Local news websites, government announcements, or official municipal websites can provide detailed information about road closures or traffic restrictions. Event-specific pages on social media platforms or organisers' websites may also post updates about schedules, road closures, and other relevant details.
Additionally, traffic apps like Google Maps or Waze can provide real-time traffic updates on the day of the event. By staying informed and planning ahead, you can ensure a smooth experience during the Rosengarten Run.
Other sports-analysis may reveal an increased interest in cycling and skating as alternative activities on August 25 due to the traffic restrictions in the Rosengarten Regional Park during the Rosengarten Run. Participants in other sports competitions on that day could potentially benefit from avoiding scheduled road closures.
