Severe rainfall engulfs Al Ain, forecasts predict additional showers throughout the United Arab Emirates.
The UAE is bracing for a mix of hot weather, rain, and dust storms over the next few days, according to the latest weather forecast.
On Monday, August 4, temperatures are expected to reach highs of 44°C to 49°C, with lows averaging between 32°C and 37°C. The country is affected by an extension of a surface low pressure system accompanied by humid southeasterly winds, making the heat feel even more intense.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicts fair to partly cloudy and hazy skies at times during the day, with a chance of some convective cloud formation eastward and southward, potentially associated with rainfall. In fact, cloudy skies with a chance of rain have been reported in eastern areas like Fujairah and Al Ain, and moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to continue across the country on Monday and Tuesday.
However, this rainy weather comes with a caution. Motorists must drive carefully, as strong winds at times may suddenly cause dusty weather conditions and sandstorms, reducing visibility. Dusty conditions with low visibility were reported in some parts of Dubai, and a weather alert predicts convective (rainy) cloud formation associated with rainfall over some eastern and southern areas until 8 pm today.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, August 5, and Wednesday, August 6, temperatures are high, reaching around 103-109 °F (39-43 °C) with clear to partly cloudy skies and passing clouds, feeling hotter due to humidity and wind (up to 17 mph from the southeast). The NCM forecasts fair to partly cloudy weather with some convective cloud formation in eastern and southern regions, along with light to moderate winds that may freshen, causing blowing dust and sand that could reduce visibility intermittently.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected to continue on Thursday and Friday across the UAE, including Dubai. Dusty weather and strong winds may trigger sandstorms at times, requiring motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.

Drivers should exercise caution on the roads due to the possibility of dusty weather and sandstorms, as strong winds may occur, reducing visibility. Weather-forecasting agencies, such as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), predict these conditions will persist throughout the next few days, coupling high temperatures with rain and cloudy skies.
