Shocking Sentence for Dishonest Caregiver in Berlin's Biesdorf
Severe Penalty Imposed on Caregiver in Berlin for Exploitation of Disabled Individuals - Severe Imprisonment for Berlin Caregivers Due to Abuse of Disabled Individuals
Hey there! Let's talk about a disgusting case that happened in the Berlin district of Biesdorf.
A care worker, working at a group home for adults with intellectual and multiple disabilities, stood accused of some sickening actions. Reportedly, he carried out numerous ceremonies of filth on six of the residents between July 2020 and September 2022. To make things even more vile, he recorded and photographed these repugnant episodes. Incredibly, these perverse files were found by investigators during a search related to child pornography – a conviction he had earned back in 2020.
Unsurprisingly, the man was found guilty of despicable acts in 70 cases. Out of these shocking verdicts, 47 were classified as full-blown rapes, 21 as despicable assaults, and two as sleazy harassment. The no-good 36-year-old was also branded a child pornographer.
An initial sentence was handed down against the creep in July 2023. At that time, the Regional Court in Berlin dished out a ten-year prison sentence but did not enforce mandatory pre-trial detention, as the court didn’t find a recurrence pattern in the defendant's behavior.
The prosecution didn't settle for that soft sentence, though. They damn well appealed it. The Federal Court of Justice, unimpressed by the initial verdict, overturned it due to a few legal errors, particularly regarding the omission of mandatory pre-trial detention and professional restrictions. Therefore, another panel of the Regional Court in Berlin had to re-trial the case.
