In a tragic turn of events, seven lives were tragically claimed earlier this week when a collision between a van and a truck occurred on U.S. Highway 20 in Idaho. This grim accident took place around Henry's Lake, roughly 20 miles east of Yellowstone National Park at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Responding to the scene were troopers from the Idaho State Police, who discovered that a Dodge Ram pickup and a Mercedes passenger van had been involved in the crash. Police confirmed that the van was being operated as a tour vehicle, carrying 14 individuals, and that the lone occupant of the pickup truck was the driver. Tragically, all six passengers in the van, along with the truck's driver, lost their lives in the crash.
At least 16 patients were treated on the scene, and the severity of the injuries necessitated the deployment of an air ambulance.
