Responding to the scene were troopers from the Idaho State Police, who discovered that a Dodge Ram pickup and a Mercedes passenger van had been involved in the crash. Police confirmed that the van was being operated as a tour vehicle, carrying 14 individuals, and that the lone occupant of the pickup truck was the driver.
