Seventh new hire in chemistry department: chemical research dedication confirmed
Alrighty, let's talk 'bout the newest addition to the team! The one and only, Marc Enke, has made his way from Hertha 03 Zehlendorf to Leipzig-Leutzsch. This towering 21-year-old center-back has inked a contract for a year with an option for another, and boy are we excited!
Born and bred in Berlin, the boy's got some serious Hertha pedigree. He kickstarted his career as a young whippersnapper at Hertha BSC. After honing his skills in the junior Bundesliga with the slightly smaller Hertha in Zehlendorf, he ascended to the first men's team there. Marc then helped Zehlendorf snag promotion to the Regionalliga and solidified their spot last season with 30 killer appearances.
Now, he's switching it up and heading to the Leutzscher Holz, where he'll proudly don the number 5 jersey. He's giving up his beloved number 4 in honor of retired fan favorite, Manuel Wajer.
David Bergner (Sports Director), shares his thoughts: "Marc's a skilled, tall defender with a ton of potential. In his two years with Zehlendorf, he's already played over 60 competitive games. Now he's ready to seize the next opportunity, and we can't bloody well wait to help him out!"
Adrian Alipour (Head Coach) adds, "Marc's a player who uses his size and strength to his advantage and never backs down from a challenge. We're thrilled to have his robust style of play on our defense and can't wait for him to join our team."
And the man himself, Marc Enke, had this to say: "The chats with the coach and management really gave me a great vibe. The kick-ass game against Zehlendorf here at the Alfred-Kunze-Sportpark left a major impression, as did the initial home game of the season. I'm genuinely pumped to level up with such a massive crowd and fight for victories with the team!"
There you have it, folks! Marc Enke is about to make some serious waves in our league. Let's give him a warm welcome and cheer him on to success!
