Seven Moscow trains experience delays

Snowy Mess in Moscow:

The Moscow region is in the thick of it after a torrential downpour of snow and trees blocking the tracks caused chaotic disruptions to seven passenger trains. The Federal Passenger Company (FPC) shared the unfortunate news via their Telegram channel.

Affected trains include the No.142 Smolensk - Arkhangelsk, No.102 Moscow - Yaroslavl, No.21 Labytnangi - Moscow, No.101 Yaroslavl - Moscow, No.1 Vladivostok - Moscow, No.107 Vologda - Moscow, and No.16 Moscow - Arkhangelsk.

In solidarity with passengers, the train crew is rallying to offer essential aid. To maintain comfort and keep temperatures reasonably warm in carriages, they're working tirelessly. Passengers whose journeys are prolonged by four hours or more will be treated to some food as well. Despite these setbacks, the trains are persistently resuming their courses.

Sadly, the city saw record-breaking snowfall, with some areas witnessing as much as 15 centimeters in a single day [source]. Consequently, power outages and structural damage occurred. In light of this, the Moscow Mayor's Office issued a warning about possible alterations to bus routes and advised commuters to watch out for trees or precarious structures.
