In the ongoing Beach Volleyball European Championships in Düsseldorf, seven German duos have managed to secure their place in the Round of 16. Among these, the defending champions, Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann, have directly advanced to this round.
Müller and Tillmann, who are the current title holders, have shown their prowess once again by winning their second preliminary round match against the Polish pair Malgorzata Ciezkowska/Urszula Lunio. The reigning champions triumphed in two sets, with scores of 21:16 and 23:21.
Another German duo, Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler, have also made it to the Round of 16. Despite a rocky start, they qualified for the knockout round. Ehlers and Wickler had lost their opening match against Javier and Joaquin Bello from England, but they bounced back strongly.
