Serious Motorcycle Crash on L206: Two Injured, One Airlifted

A serious traffic accident occurred on the L206 road near Neu Grussow on 28.09.2025, involving three motorcyclists. Two riders were severely injured, with one airlifted to a clinic.

The incident began when two motorcyclists, both aged 73, attempted to turn left at the Neu Grussow junction. A 70-year-old rider following them failed to notice the turn and collided with the motorcycle in front. Both riders were thrown from their bikes. The 70-year-old sustained severe injuries and was transported by helicopter to a nearby clinic. The 73-year-old rider escaped unharmed.

The accident caused significant damage, with both motorcycles totaling around 3,000 euros and becoming unserviceable. The L206 road was temporarily closed for approximately 1.5 hours to allow for investigation.

The accident highlights the importance of safe driving and attentiveness, especially when following closely behind other vehicles. The police are yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, and the current police chief of Neubrandenburg is unknown as of 2023.
