In the latest round of polls, the political landscape in Germany is showing some shifts, as revealed by surveys conducted by Forsa on behalf of RTL Germany from September 9 to 15, and by the dts news agency.

The current party preferences, according to these polls, are as follows: The Social Democratic Party (SPD) continues to hold a steady 14% of the vote share, remaining unchanged from the previous week. The Green Party has seen a slight improvement, now polling at 12%, an increase of one percentage point.

The Left (Die Linke) has seen a slight decrease, with 11% of the vote, down by one percentage point. The Free Democratic Party (FDP) remains below the 5% threshold, with 3% of the vote, while the Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) hovers just above the threshold, polling at 4%.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) and the CDU/CSU, the two largest parties in Germany, are both at 25% in the latest Forsa poll, with the AfD maintaining its position from previous surveys.

The survey results, published in the "RTL/ntv Trendbarometer" on Tuesday, reveal a high level of dissatisfaction among Germans with the current political scene. A majority of Germans (68%) are not satisfied with the work of Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU), with only 29% expressing satisfaction. This is a new low since Friedrich Merz took office.

The highest dissatisfaction is among supporters of the Left, with 89% of respondents expressing dissatisfaction, followed closely by the AfD, where 94% of supporters are dissatisfied. Among supporters of the CDU and CSU, around one-third are dissatisfied (31% dissatisfied).

Exactly 2,502 people were surveyed for the polls, ensuring a representative sample of the German population. It is important to note that these polls provide a snapshot of the current political climate and may not accurately predict the results of future elections.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how these trends develop in the coming weeks and months.
