Seoul reception unites South Korea and Czech baseball teams ahead of historic match

A reception was held in Seoul on Nov. 7, the eve of a baseball game between South Korea and the Czech Republic. The event was hosted by the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and saw the attendance of several notable figures from both countries.

Czech Ambassador to South Korea Ivan Jancarek was among the guests. He was joined by Czechia captain Martin Muzik and South Korea captain Park Hae-min. KBO Commissioner Heo Koo-youn and South Korea manager Ryu Ji-hyun also attended the event.

The reception was held in honour of Pavel Chadim, manager of the Czech Republic national baseball team. Chadim, a neurologist by profession, is known more for his coaching and management skills than his playing career. He first led the Czech senior national team in 2010 and notably guided a Brno-based team to victory in the 2013 Little League World Series.

The reception provided an opportunity for dignitaries and players from both countries to come together before the big game. Chadim's presence highlighted the international nature of baseball and his unique background as a coach and manager.
