Senate Receives Nominees for Confirmation

The White House has announced a series of nominations for key positions within the government, ranging from ambassadors to U.S. attorneys and board members. These nominations, part of the President's ongoing efforts to shape the administration, reflect a diverse range of talent and expertise.

Ambassadors

Julie Callahan, hailing from the District of Columbia, has been nominated to serve as the Chief Agricultural Negotiator, Office of the United States Trade Representative, with the rank of Ambassador. Meanwhile, Dan Negrea from Connecticut has been nominated to represent the United States on the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, and to serve concurrently as an Alternate Representative to the Sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations, also with the rank of Ambassador.

International Bodies

Jeffrey Anderson from Georgia has been nominated to represent the United States on the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization, with the rank of Ambassador. These appointments underscore the administration's commitment to maintaining strong relationships and influence in international forums.

Board Members

Arthur Graham from Florida has been nominated to be a Member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority for the remainder of the term expiring May 18, 2026. David LaCerte from Louisiana has been nominated to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the remainder of the term expiring June 30, 2026.

Department of Agriculture

John Walk from Virginia has been nominated to be the Inspector General, Department of Agriculture. Todd Lindsey from Idaho has been nominated to be the Chief Financial Officer, Department of Agriculture.

Department of Justice

James Murphy from Maryland and Scott Mayer from Pennsylvania have been nominated to be Members of the National Labor Relations Board for terms expiring in 2027 and 2029 respectively. Ryan Anthony Kriegshauser from Kansas has been nominated to be the United States Attorney for the District of Kansas for a term of four years.

Other Key Positions

In addition to these nominations, there are several other key positions awaiting confirmation. Dr. Mehmet Oz has been nominated as Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, while Pam Bondi has been nominated as Attorney General, both requiring Senate approval. Jason Evans has been nominated to be Under Secretary of State (Management). Former National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Andrew Puzder are still awaiting confirmation as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and U.S. Ambassador to the European Union respectively.
